In the long run…..

How many times have you weighed your options based on the short run or the long run? Too many to count I bet.

When my daughter’s volleyball coach posted this link on social media the other day, it kinda hit me like a ton of bricks. I kept thinking about it all day and really started to realize why some things in my life are heading in the right direction, as I believe I am subconsciously taking the long run approach; which requires patience and endurance. Everyone wants a fast fix or fast results; but is that the best approach?

In the short run, when I want immediate results or want instant gratification I some times feel like I’m a hamster on a wheel; out of control and looking for a way out.

It just took a little life reflection to see how my long run approach to things is paying off and providing calm and order in my life. And how my short run approach is causing organized chaos with sporadic highs and lows. It’s just a matter of which one works best for me?

I think I gotta get off the hamster wheel, get back on the track and focus on the finish line; which is way….way off in the distance.

Take a moment and read this post. It just could change a lot in your life in the long run.

In the long and short run

Thanks Adam!
