As the final countdown of 2011 winds down it’s human nature to reflect on the past year and look forward to a brand new one. We as a family always take time out on the final days of each year to list off our favourite moments of the past year. We all agree, our vacations and family time at the cottage top the list. Our creation of Hope for Mexico and the accomplishment of our Peace Rally last May is one of our proudest moments. My best moment of insanity crossing over to Juarez, Mexico last June alone with nothing but my passport and camera wrapped around my neck was worth the danger having met Javier Sicilia who has been named person of the year by Time Magazine. The great people I met as clients and all the spectacular weddings I had the pleasure of capturing. A lot is happening and changing with my photography business in 2012, but shooting weddings is not one of them. I still love it, I still have a blast doing it so that is one aspect that will hopefully grow in 2012. I have found that certain phrases or inspirational messages can grab my undivided attention and can often change the course of my life or career. The Mother Theresa saying I found hanging on a California restaurant wall has really inspired some exciting things to come for me in 2012. I hope you will all come along for the ride. Happy New Year to everyone, may 2012 bring all the happiness your hearts and hands can hold.
