Can I open my eyes now?

IMG_1506

I have stared at this blank post page for months now. I have so much to write about, but nothing to say. I heard something today that sparked my writing interest; someone suggested I write a blog to myself…from my older self. What would she say.

Well…..she would say, there’s something to be said for keeping your head down, holding on to something tight and praying that the light at the end of the tunnel is not yet another train. It’s been a dreadful year, and the lessons you have learned need to be shared, but not now. Not today; today share only what needs to be said. And that’s –  you can wait for nothing or no one to make the day count. No matter what you are facing, no matter what kind of day you are having, there is no guarantee that tomorrow will be any better. So you gotta find something….something in each day that makes it all worth while and get up again tomorrow and do the same thing. It’s that simple.

So whether you are struggling with your health, relationships, friendships, career, family or all of the above, we all have our bumps in the road. And this my dear, is your bump in the road. But trust me, take this bump in the road, ride it out, you will make it to the fork and know which way to turn. Because as your older self, this is an ok bump to have, there are others that have it a lot worse than you. Trust me.

It’s good to be back, good to write again.
